Best alternative to the negotiated agreements (BATNA) is used to increase the negotiation power. It evaluates and takes into consideration all possible alternatives to a negotiated agreement. But as humans are rationally bounded and do not usually evaluate all possible alternatives, is it possible in this situation that an agreement is influenced by other party? Give logic.

A common mistake in BATNA analysis is to omit the non-monetary implications of ATNAs (for example bad relations).

The second drawback to BATNA analysis is that it often takes a great deal of time, money, and resources. This is particularly true when litigation is involved.

The third drawback to the BATNA is that, in some circumstances, it is not relevant.

Sometimes, a disputant finds that using negotiation to meet his or her interests and needs is not as useful as getting those goals attained some other way. 

Power means choice. The more power you have, the better your range of choices and the better the potential outcomes you have. 

Power affects the choices that individual disputants are able to make and the degree of influence that one disputant can have on another. 

A high-power is highly likely to wield or threaten coercive, brutal, and sadistic power.
The identities of the struggling groups tend to perpetuate a protracted, competitive, and destructive conflict cycle.

In case of BANTA opportunism will come in front of parties involved in evaluating best alternatives to negotiated agreement (BANTA) and each party ll try to achieve its goal through calculated efforts of guile, lying, stealing, cheating ,passing false information, distorting or disuising information and generally misleading the other party. In words parties will become selfish and will try to take advantage of a situation to their interest.
