Combinatorics is a branch of pure mathematics concerning the study of discrete and usually finite objects. Combinatorics is also the mathematics of counting and arranging objects. Counting of objects with certain properties is required to solve many different types of problem. Combinatorics is related to many other areas of mathematics such as:

And it is also used in the following branches
1) Determine number of ordered or unordered arrangement of objects
2) Generate all the arrangements of a specified kind which is important in computer simulations
