FIRST Osama was not a threat. He had not been able to personally mount a single terrorist attack since 911….all his assets were frozen; he was effectively broke…..a toothless barking dog
SECOND We would have learned a lot of valuable things by just monitoring his activities. Was he protected by the Pakistani government? Where were his officers and active cells? etc
THIRD By violating Pakistani sovereignty we destabilized the entire country…..embarrassed the entire government…… created conditions that could topple the entire government and put nuclear weapons into the hands of the Taliban
Instead of arresting Pakistani’s who helped Osama; they are arresting Pakistani’s who helped us…. the Pakistani’s are releasing Al Queda prisoners the promised to keep in jail…..We are losing valuable agents and information sources in Pakistan….. Taliban / Al Queda targets are being warned before we can strike…..
The ONLY thing that killing Osama has done is possibly gain some votes for Obama…. NOT really worth the losses
